Cheap, fast and plenty of space for most any OS requirements. I was a bit concerned when ordering because it was not listed as being supported on the 900a but it worked without and fuss.

This is a great HD and a perfect replacement for the 4 GB drive that was previously in my Asus EeePC 900a. The drive was replaced in under 4 minutes, and formatted using UNetBootIn and Ubuntu 9.10. (the desktop edition!)

While I've only been using it for about a month, the speed increase (read and write) of the drive was immediately noticeable. There are no more stutters, pauses, nothing -- it's smooth as silk. Bootup time with Ubuntu 9.10 on this drive is 26 seconds, with log-in and functionality at 35 seconds. In a word, awesome.

Works great in my ASUS eeePC 900A netbook. Although it's not the fastest variety among SSDs, it runs with very respectable speed.

I bought this product from another vendor and installed it in my EeePc 901. It worked well for about 3 months then just stopped working one day. Now I'm unable to read even the partition table. The errors in my system log indicate hardware failure. I put the original SSD back in and it works fine.

Super Talent supposedly warranties its SSD's for two years, so I sumbitted a RMA request to [...] per the instructions on their website. 2 weeks later I haven't received any reply at all, not even a canned "we'll get around to it" response. I called the telephone number listed on their website (long-distance not toll free) during normal business hours and tried the options for "RMA" and "Support"--both lead to a recording instructing you to email [...].

I have an Eee PC 901.
This device increased the speed of it a lot.

Advantages:
- Fully compatible, no need to tweak any master/slave configs
- Easy to install, remove 2xscrews, remove the old one, put the one & working
- Speed of Operating System increased a lot, now it is a decent OS (Eeebuntu)
- Flash in fullscreen is fluid.

Disavantages:
- Temperature has increased
- I guess the battery lasts shorter than before, I couldn't notice though.

Somebody said in a review that the difference between than this model and the faster one at 32 GB wouldn't be so much, but you get the +32GB for more or less the same price. I can tell that the speed improvement is high, and I got also these extra 32GB. I am very glad.
