On first install my system shut down due to over temp. It starts when it wants to or when you spin it by hand to get it started. Do yourself a favor and skip this one and buy an Intel or something with a known name (spend a little more money). This was replaced by an Intel with NO problems with spin up or overheating.

2WARNING!! Stay Away!!  Sep 05, 2008 By Dominance Kane "beetlespin"
Stay away from this product. It is very hard to install this heatsink and fan on a Socket 775 motherboard. The clips bend the motherboard enough where you have contact problems with the cpu to the motherboard. You have to push down VERY hard to secure the heatsink thus you run a chance in breaking your board. I found out that my heatsink was causing my computer to not boot. How > cpu was not making good contact with motherboard. Un-installed the heatsink and just laid it on the cpu, and computer boots everytime. I am using a core 2 duo and with the heatsink having an aluminum base, cooling is not all that great. On idle my cpu runs 65C, who know what it would do under a load. Please go to [...] and save yourself time and money and buy a real heatsink and fan. You get what you pay for and the only thing good about this product is the fan is not all that loud.
