Great for Tivo upgrade! Feb 01, 2010

Used this to upgrade my Tivo HD last November. This drive is nice and quiet and so far has worked like a champ. Tons of recording time now and the upgrade was easy if you're tech savvy. Search around online and you'll find the instructions and tools needed. If you're not up for it, then the other option is to buy the Tivo supported external HDD. In my case I didn't want the external box due to space constraints.
This internal drive is supposed to be good for constant video related usage, so I'm expecting a long stable life out of it. Now I can record all my favorite shows in full HD and not have to worry about space!
[UPDATE] - Just over a year later and still going strong! Tons of recording space and no performance issues!

I have a 9 camera security recording system that I use 24-7 after checking all the hard drives that are used for security systems ( constant use ) I updated from a 250 GB to a new one with 1000GB 1 terabyte this type is made for 24-7 use, it has been in use ever day since I purchased it, years of service with no problem,I'am now retired but the security system is still in use.
