Not what youd expect Oct 04, 2008
By Susan Harris This product is not what I wanted and needed for my organic chem class. All it shows you is bond angles and a poor example of the orbitals (sp3, sp2, sp)which is helpful but insignificant. Soon I had to deal with isomers and conformers (molecular movement)and this model is practically immobile. Being able to visualize the concept is important and nearly impossible with this kit. Go for the more expensive ones with lots of pieces and flexible bonds.

Great product! Sep 29, 2007
By Stephanie This product was very helpful, and fit the requirement of what I needed for my Organic Chem class. Even if you are not required to have a model kit, it can be very helpful in viewing all the different structures that need to be learned.

Takes some getting used to Mar 29, 2008

I bought this product so I could give myself a visual to look at while doing homework, and it has helped alot. The pieces are a little unusual but after you get the hang of it, surely is a great product.

Cheap container Oct 22, 2009
By Famquzab This model was not what I expected in that it came with a "fold-your-own cardboard box" which is poorly constructed with fold creases that make no sense due to the placement of the cardboard pieces so it is now lopsided... also other model kits that cost the same amount comes with a plastic box that allows you to sort/position the pieces whereas this model kit was a cardboard box where you just dump the pieces into it which also does not allow space to put the instruction manual/other paper it came with into the box.
In summary, it is very disorganized in terms of how one is expected to carry the kit from place to place and efficiently create models.
Yuck! Oct 05, 2010
By Guest24235 I just bought this mainly because of the price I figured $20 compared to $60. I really should have gone for the $60 the structural set-up is crap. Does not help to show all types of molecules especially when trying to figure out symmetry for an inorganic class. Go for the quality product that are more expensive.
