4Maxtor DiamondMax 16  Mar 11, 2009 By Alberto Juan Negron "Pastor Al"
It's good to be leary of used items, particularly used hard drives. However, having purchased this particular hard drive as a portable media drive for my laptop, in conjunction with a hard drive enclosure, I am very satisfied with the seek time and reliability of the device. Both movie and music play excellently from this drive over a USB connection.

5Very Good Hard Drive For A Good Purpose  Feb 22, 2011 By satou
People (more specifically, modders) who like the freedom of modifying their consoles and what not, this maxtor, whatever the size, (from around 80GB, to 200GB) would be most preferable. Also for people who's in need to do an emergency back-up of critical files.
I've been with maxtor for a very long time, western digital makes good hard drives but often too expensive to buy and other times, not trust worthy, especially the huge capacity ones. the thing with maxtor is that they're the best for one thing, and that's for modding and storing information in consoles, weather they're d.j. consoles or gaming consoles. I'm good with the hard drive that was sold to me, it's serving it's purpose.
