Description

Scientific research shows that exercising your brain can be as important as exercising your body. Not only do the mental challenges and puzzles in Brain Games #7: Lower Your Brain Age in Minutes a Day give you a complete mental workout, they re also a lot of fun. The book, part of the highly popular Brain Games series, is designed to make you feel the burn (mentally, of course) by working different cognitive functions.

Just as no single exercise machine can give you a full workout, no one type of puzzle will fully exercise your brain. Puzzles of different types exercise different parts of the brain and can enhance all of the following cognitive functions:
Analysis
Attention
Computation
Creative thinking
General knowledge
Language
Logic
Planning
Problem solving
Spatial planning
Spatial reasoning
Spatial visualization

5good value for the price  Jul 29, 2010 By Dolores "Bargain Hunter"
I have all these books and they are great for keeping the brain fit. There are some easier ones to warm you up and then more difficult ones to make you use your brain. I have bought others in this category, some were not that good, others were good and some beyond my abilities even though I have a college degree but then I am 70 years old. I always check to see when the next one of these comes out.

5very happy with this purchase  Mar 28, 2011 By J. Lugo
I'm very happy with this book. It offers many different types of challenges, so some are easier while others are harder for me. It helps me become aware of how my brain works,my strengths and weaknesses, so I can exercise skills that are less developed. I'll probably buy more books of this series...

3Same as before  Jul 07, 2011 By Carol L. Iingraham
There are more or less the same type tests as in the books that came before only harder. To much of the same thing so I won't buy any more for me, but might buy for someone else as a gift.
