Perfect for Thinkpad Upgrades Jan 24, 2011 By K Tell
You have to be careful when upgrading a lenovo/ibm ThinkPad hard drive, because not all are compatible with the BIOS and will nastily beep at you each and every boot up which there is no work around or stopping (short of removing the built in speaker on the mobo which you're crazy if you do).

So this hard drive, the 250GB, works flawlessly. Came very well packaged and speedy delivery. Kudos to the sender.

Anyway - 250 is the bare minimum for me now a days with all the HD video and 7MB per picture sizes I have. I used Symantec Ghost which took some tweaking to copy over the hidden partitions and set that as the active one before ghosting the main c drive. Anyway, great drive for the price. It's not SSD which is something I would prefer, but for optical, the size, compatibility and the price, I couldn't go wrong.
